Barbara Rodier Satterfield, of Vienna, VA, died on Monday, July 17, 2017 in Sherman Oaks, California. She is the loving wife of the late Omer A. Satterfield and daughter of the late James and Mary (Miller) Rodier. Barbara is survived by her son, James Satterfield, sister, Leslie Rodier and her husband, Robert B. Potter and nephew, Robert C. Potter. A funeral service will be held at Money & King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA, on Sunday, July 23 at 9 AM. Interment will follow at Andrew Chapel Cemetery.

Barbara was one of my first friends at Madison High School in Vienna, VA, Class of 1970. She was in my home room and greeted me when I started school there in the middle of Sophomore year. She was always kind, generous and loving. When I was sick with strep throat, she was the first to offer me a book of prayers, with caring messages for my recovery. I have often remembered her and thought of her over the years. May our dearest and sweetest Barbara rest in peace.
Barbara was my oldest and dearest friend. I met her in the high school cafeteria, lonely girl without anyone to sit with. She invited me to join her and Alice Beke, and that became the start of our fifty year friendship. We also went to Roanoke College together; she was a bridesmaid at my wedding and I was an honored guest at hers. We went through school together, weddings and motherhood together. Barb was Well loved and will long be missed and remembered.
