Garry Lee Herring born January 10, 1943 born in Vienna , Virginia beloved son of Vernon Lee Herring and Clara Virginia Herring died suddenly in Ocala, Florida on Tuesday November 28th. Garry died in Florida but Virginia was always his home and his wishes were to be buried in Virginia.
He is survived by his daughter Shelli Ann Wood and her husband Charlie Wood from Colorado Springs Colorado. Garry had 2 Granddaughters Masyn Elizabeth Wood and Madelyn Nikole Wood and a grandson Brent Timothy Herring. Garry is also survived by his two sisters Dianne Herring Street from Vienna Virginia and Debbie Herring from Vienna Virginia. He had 3 nephews and 1 niece Matthew James Lee Street from Huntsville Alabama, Andrew Turner Street from Herndon, Virginia and Robert Jordan Street from Houston, Texas. His niece Ashley Elizabeth Bhalla from Purcellville, VA. He was also survived by 5 great-nieces and 2 great nephews.
Garry was a kind man who had been not feeling well for sometime. He is now at peace and has gone home to be with family that will welcome him with open arms. He will be missed greatly but Thank God he is now free of pain.
A graveside service will be held at Andrew Chapel Cemetery on Friday December 8 at 10 a.m. with a memorial service immediately to follow at Oakton Church of the Brethren, 10025 Courthouse Rd, Vienna, VA at 11 a.m. A reception will follow the service at Oakton Church of the Brethren.

Please accept my heartfelt sympathies. My heart goes out to the family. Death is something we will never get use to. In fact, God’s Word refers to death as an enemy (1 Corinthians 15:26). It is comforting to know that very soon our loving Heavenly Father, Jehovah, will remove death once and for all and give us the opportunity to see our loved ones again here on the earth.
