Gerald "Gerry" Alan Wolfson, age 75, of Vienna, Virginia died on April 8, 2018 at his home. He was the beloved husband of Elizabeth (BJ) McClure Wolfson; father of Greg Wolfson and Marisa Wolfson Morales; father-in-law of Nicolas Morales; son of the late Isadore Wolfson and Rosalie Yerman Wolfson and brother of Judy Wolfson Markendorff. He is also survived by his two grandsons, Luke Wolfson Morales and Anthony Nicolas Morales. Memorial contributions may be made to Northern Virginia Model Railroaders, Inc., 231 Donimion Road, NE, Vienna, VA 22180-4520. Private services will be held at a later date.

Barry and I will always treasure the special vacation we shared in Maui. It was a week of bonding and sharing the Aloha Spirit. We were glad you were able to ride the steam engine train from Kaanapali to Lahaina, which unfortunately has since been discontinued.
Your kind heart and brilliant mind will be the legacy you leave to each person you love, starting with your beloved BJ, your children and your grandsons. God bless you and keep you safe, dear cousin, and we hope there’s a fantastic powerful steam engine train in Heaven for you to ride!
I was so saddened by seeing a picture of Jerry (as he spelled his name then) in the Obit. section in the Washington Post on April 15th and shocked. I remember him to be in good health and got the feeling he would always be in good health. Back in the 70s, Jerry and I dated every day for a year. We had a really nice companionable, respectful, equal, and joyful relationship. I will always have a special place in my heart for him even though it was a very long time ago. He met you, BJ, right after we broke up. So you must have been together around 45 years. So it must be so painful to have him pass too soon. I do remember he really liked tinkering with ham radios. So he will probably call you from heaven. I am sure he took his old radio with him. No cell phones then. My heart goes out to you and your family and wishing you all the very best. Joannie Ungerleider
