Gilbert Himmelberg, 87, of Vienna, VA, passed peacefully on April 21, 2018. Loving husband of Imajean; father of Joseph (Henrietta), Ann (Gregory) Malec and Heidi (Jon) Steinbach; grandfather of Alyssa Malec and Logan Malec; brother of ten and uncle to many nieces and nephews. Gil was loving, kind-hearted and generous. A visitation will be held Friday, April 27, from 2:00 – 4:00 pm and 6:00 – 8:00 pm at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 Maple Ave W, Vienna, VA. A memorial mass will be celebrated Saturday, April 28 at 1:30 pm at Our Lady of Good Counsel, 8601 Wolftrap Rd SE, Vienna, VA. Interment will follow at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Capital Caring Hospice.
