  1. I am so very sorry for your loss during this difficult time. May you find comfort in your loving memories of her and God’s promise at John 5:28,29 which assures us that we have the hope of seeing our love again that we have lost.

    • We Wrote:

Joy Carlson-Reid, was a joy to behold; it was a fall day, some 14 years ago, when we encountered her and longtime lunch companion, Louie, at an adjoining booth, at “THE METRO 29 Diner”.
It was a Thursday afternoon, bright and sunny; the atmosphere, was its usual, convivial one, it was easy to meet regulars.

Joy noticed my sweatshirt, which read: “The Boca Raton Resort and Yacht Club”.
We exchanged pleasantries and was told that she and friend, Louie, were lunchmates, almost every Thursday.

So, my wife Janet and I met Joy and Louie there, most Thursdays and on occasion, drove into DC, to view his childhood home.
Joy invited Janet and I, to an annual LONG & Foster Realty, urban picnic in McLean; we had a grand time, both, on that day and many more times together, as time permitted.
We saw less and less of each other, but kept in touch, by both phone and e-mail.

Joy will forever be in our hearts and memory, just a few days ago, I mentioned her’s and Louie’s name and said, we needed to touch bases.

We Love You Joy Carlson-Reid and know you’ll be successfully selling real estate in Heaven.

      May God Bless Your Soul!

    To Trudy and Family
We are so sorry for your loss. Joy was a beautiful person both inside and out! She was a good friend to us and we loved her jokes, stories and laughs. God Bless Her!!!!!

  3. To all of the friends and family of Joy,

Our deepest condolences for your loss and we pray for all of you.
Joy was a childhood friend of my Uncle Joe and Aunt Audrey Joynt. The stories I’ve been told of memories made from heaven as they lived together off Flower Ave. by Blair High School when they were in their late teens. Who would have thought I would end up working with Joy in the commercial real estate field. She was a hoot! I loved all of her stories of them as teenagers. Its hard to laugh and be sad at the same time. But laughing was what I did most of the time I spent with her. We did work occasionally! Loved her, will miss her and forever she will be in our hearts!
