Margaret L. Sheridan
April 2, 1930 ~ October 1, 2017
Margaret L. Bennett Sheridan (Marge), died peacefully at her residence in Herndon, VA on October 1, 2017. She is survived by her loving husband of 62 years Robert, her four children, Diane, Linda (Chuck Miller), Michael, (Trina), Robert B. (Stephanie), and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents Mary and Ephraim, her brothers William and James, and her sister Elizabeth. She is survived by her brothers Parnell and Edward.
Marge was born and raised in Butte, Montana. During her grade school and high school years she enjoyed playing basketball and served as team captain. Following high school she worked for New York Life Insurance Company. In 1955 she married, and in 1957 she accompanied her husband to the Washington, D C area where they resided in Arlington, and Vienna, VA. Marge enjoyed raising her children, attending sporting events played by her children, and traveling in their RV throughout the US during their later years. Marge was also a member of Vienna Quilters Unlimited. Marge's zest for life, strong will to overcome adversity, her continuous smile, and genuine love for family and friends was demonstrated throughout her long life. While her first love was living in Butte, she built many long term friendships while residing in Arlington and Vienna, VA.
Visitation will begin 10/10/17 @9:30 am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial @10:30 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, Vienna, VA followed by a luncheon reception. Inurnment will occur at a later date at Arlington National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Parkinson's Foundation or a charity of choice.
