Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Katy, Grace Michael & Joseph — I am so very sorry for your loss.
I first met your mom when she was still in the Air Force and worked on a project with her. At the time my boss & I agreed that if she wasn’t serving we’d hire her right away.
She was smart, funny, and a fun co-worker.
Later we joined up again before any of you were born at Boeing and worked many years together … she was just over the “cube” wall. We all missed her when your family went back east.
You all are in my family’s prayers.

    Joel

  2. One of my best memories of Mary Jo snd Scott was during Jims wedding when both our families stayed at Embassy Suites in Memphis. . The girls and our granddaughters had fun hanging out at the pool snd hot tub. Breaks my heart. Richard, Scott and now Mary Jo are gone.

  3. I did not know Mary Jo very long. I started working at Orbital last year and supported her in her work. I was immediately struck by her bright personality and warm demeanor. She always seemed to have a smile. Always said hi. I really enjoyed getting a moment to talk to her in passing. When she told me that her husband was very sick and then that he passed I really felt for her. I was amazed at how strong she seemed throughout. As time went by I got busy with other things and saw less of Mary Jo. I knew she was busy also so I tried not to bother her. I regret that now that she is gone. My heart goes out to her children.

  4. We are so saddened to hear of Mary Jo passing. It was just a few years ago that we saw you all at Katie’s wedding and had a memorable time together. You are all in our thoughts and we are praying for you all at this difficult time. Love Chris, Cathy, and Brianna Kinner.

  5. Renee and I met Mary shortly after she arrived at the AF Academy in 1988. She was “our cadet”, and she spent most of her rare free time with us, really acting as big sister to our two children, Michelle and James. She and Terry and Mike Reschke held their graduation party at our house, and we actually managed to work together when they first went to Albuquerque after grad school. We have remained friends ever since, and are Katy’s godparents. We so enjoyed being part of their lives, watching them succeed and seeing the family grow. We are so saddened at the loss, and can only express our deepest sympathy to Katy, Grace, Michael and Joe, as well as Mary’s family. You’ve lost a wonderful daughter, sister and mother. Mary was one of the best people we’ve ever known. We’ll miss her greatly.

  7. I ran with Mary Jo in high school. She always came in first. I miss her. She was a great student and an even better friend.
