  1. We are very saddened by the loss of a friend and neighbor. Dick was someone with much wit and humor. We will miss seeing him loading and unloading a ton of softball equipment as he continued to teach the game to seniors in need of his tremendous skills. Our very best to Patty and their children as they remember a great man and his many years of love and caring. May his soul rest in peace.

  2. We are so saddened by the loss of Dick, our beloved brother in law. What a smart and witty man he was who could enthrall you with stories of his many and various experiences, and make you laugh at some of his humorous outlooks on things. My last and favorite memory of him was when he drove my husband and me around in his car, with gospel songs playing on the radio, including his favorites like “Just As I Am” and “I’ll Fly Away”. I think you can tell a lot about a person by the music they like to listen to. As we gather with all of his family and friends tomorrow to celebrate his life, I’m so glad that we know that he flew away to Jesus, into who’s loving presence we commit him.

  3. Hi Dick & Patti, I just wanted to let you know while this is a rather late remembrance, I think of you as I drive by 2725. Also that after a week of asking, I finally got permission to take Dicks old bench. I’m now in the process of renovating it in your memory. I had new boards cut for the seat. I’ve sealed and painted them and hopefully tomorrow I drill holes and get them in place. I came rather close to matching the green paint. I wanted it as a mento of the two of you. Patti, when you see this, give me acall. Dick look John up and let him know, it’s time to nudge the edge of the bed. Missing you both Betty Ann
