Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. He was a great friend and mentor. We always enjoyed working with Allen. He was a proud believer in Family and Country. He wanted to be part of the solution vs. part of the problem. I will miss me friend but I am so glad I met him.

  2. I can’t believe he’s gone. Allan was a true friend, golf companion and policy wonk. We shared many meetings, phone calls, T-times and (with Sandra) dinners together over the 20+ years I’ve called him friend. This world will never be the same.

  3. Brock and David, You are both loved so much! We are praying for you. Know that your mom and dad will be watching over you with love and guidance every day. How blessed you were to have such loving and caring parents! God Bless You both!

  4. Brock and David, I’m so very sorry for your loss. Your dad was a wonderful person, both inside and out. May the memories you both shared with him and your mom, always be in your hearts. Both of you are in my thoughts and prayers. With my deepest love and sympathy.

  5. Allan was one of the good guys. He was a special friend, terrific co-worker. After our retirement we continued to be friends visits to Michigan, our visits to Virginia. Many good memories. He will be missed!

  6. We were so sorry to hear about Allan, He and Sandra were such wonderful people, and raised amazing children, He will be greatly missed

  7. We were so sorry to hear about Allan, He and Sandra were such wonderful people, and raised amazing children, He will be greatly missed

  8. Brock & David — I’m so sorry to hear of your Dad’s passing. I worked for him at NACA 20+ years ago and he was just a wonderful, fun, thoughtful and all around good guy. I got to know your mom through him and we had a lot of fun times together when you both were little, as my own daughters are the same age as you. I’ve thought very fondly of both your parents over the years, and I’ll tell you, my heart is just very sad with this news. Please feel free to reach out if ever there is something we can do for you. With love, Betsy & Ken Brown

  9. Brock and David Both Tricia and I are greatly saddened by the passing of your Dad. We loved both he and Sandra. They were both wonderful friends. Allan and Tricia Phillips

  10. David and Brock, We are so sorry to hear about your loss. We can’t begin to imagine what you are going through but if we can help with anything, please let us know. The Rodgers (Denise, Jim, Nicholas)

  11. I was/am so saddened by the news of his passing. He was a wonderful man and a fun uncle. He is sorely missed.

  12. I am so very sorry about the passing of Allan. He was such a good natured and positive person who inspired a smile from anyone he talked with at our school each time he visited!

  13. David and Brock, What a damn pity. I almost had the old man convinced to move to the country then your Mom died in May of last year. He really missed her as you know. It is not unusual for one spouse to follow the other one to the Real World, as my priest friend calls it. Your Dad was my friend for almost 30 years. A great friend and a great dad. He certainly loved you boys and was so proud of you and Jeff and Ginny. Make him proud as he will be watching along with your Mom and although he will be missed physically but in our hearts forever. Godspeed to all of you and all the Merrick Clan send their condolences and best wishes

  14. Allan was always a gentleman. He treated me kindly always and greeted all with a smile anxious to know what was happening in your world. I’ll miss him as will we all.

  15. Brock, and David, and Noe Family, I am just this day learning of Allan’s passing. Such a shock. I am so, so sorry for your loss. You are in my thoughts and my prayers. I worked for Allan at Chesebrough-Ponds and Unilever. A truly wonderful person.
