  1. My thoughts go out to all of Ali’s family. Ali was such a special friend to me for many years. I was so fortunate to have had him enter my life. He was my neighbor at the Rotonda and he always kept me in line with dating. I recall sharing many stories of my bad dates and he used to tell me….”you need to date a good Persian!” I will always remember that. 🙂 We both had many things in common such as a love and zest for life, good food and great friends. I loved to hear his stories of his fabulous life and experiences. I still have the book he wrote entitled “Revolution or Disaster”. He even signed it! I will hold that close to my heart forever. Reading the book just emphasized what a truly amazing man I already knew he was. I will always treasure my fond memories of Ali and our times together as it puts a smile on my face. He will be missed by so many and never forgotten. Melissa Rowe

  2. Dear Haida and family, I am so sorry for your loss. I still remember the one time I had the honor of meeting your father at a party years ago. He was quite the elder statesman, so gracious and proud. I am sure he will be greatly missed by many.
