Dr. Amir Hassan Azimipour, devoted and beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend, died on September 21, 2024. Amir, known affectionately as Baba Jan, is survived by his children, Mariam Nouvel, Marjan Azimipour, and Caroline Hough, and his grandchildren, Celine Nouvel and Ella Hough. His beloved wife, Colette Azimipour, died on June 20, 2021 and always remained in his heart. He was a loving father-in-law to his daughters’ spouses, Nicolas Nouvel, Siavash Ansari, and John Hough.
Baba Jan and Colette were married on April 6, 1960. They left their home in Tehran, Iran in 1977 to start a new life in the United States. They sacrificed so much to guarantee the safety of their children and provide them with more opportunities when they left Iran.
Baba Jan was dedicated to his immediate family and relatives, and wanted to ensure that everyone in his life was well cared for. He was also a humanitarian and very charitable. Up until his passing, he continually donated funds from his pension to the poor and needy in Iran. He was in his full glory when he was surrounded by family and friends.
Baba Jan/Papi, your children adored you and will miss you tremendously. You are loved and we will forever carry you in our hearts.

« Les gens ont des Ă©toiles qui ne sont pas les mĂŞmes… quand tu regarderas le ciel, la nuit, puisque j’habiterai dans l’une d’elles, alors ce sera pour toi comme si riaient toutes les Ă©toiles. Et quand tu seras consolĂ©, tu seras content de m’avoir connu. » Antoine de Saint-ExupĂ©ry
