  1. I am so sorry to hear about Annabel (and Russell). They were wonderful neighbors and I will miss them both. I hope your entire family is able to draw strength from each other and from your friends and neighbors.

  2. I was so sorry to hear that Mrs. Kerlin had passed away. I had her for fourth grade in 1980, and again for science classes in sixth grade. She was truly one of the teachers that made the difference in my academic career. I will always owe a portion of my success to her. I remember she had a great wooden box, in which she kept the materials to teach us about electricity and circuits. Just small lengths of wire, switches, batteries, and lights, but it turned my attention from pure science to applied science. The companies I have built and the people I have employed owe her an equal debt of gratitude for what I learned from her, and she will live on in my memory. In the very real sense that she mattered so much in my early development, I am honored to consider myself part of her legacy as a teacher, and pray that she rest in peace.
