I will always have fond memories of all the times I spent with my Dad and Annalisa, as they travelled around the world with my Dad’s Army deployments. Annalisa was my main mentor on all things related to indigenous culture, history, and art. Later in life, Debbie, Karma, Gary, and I couldn’t wait to visit for the summer. Grandma Ann will be sorely missed by all of us who cherished her kindness, love, and generosity.
Dear Grandma Ann, I will always remember our visits to McLean, where you demonstrated your gardening talents and showed Gary and I fireflies for the first time. You were the most articulate woman I have ever known, and your retention and detailed memory was unparalleled. Because of you, we have had opportunities to build relationships with family we never would have been blessed to know. My fondest memory of you took place this past November when you shared your childhood memories with me. I was able to share these stories with your great grand-daughters, Kaya and Arianna, who took such pride that you always displayed their artwork for everyone to see. I will miss you! Love, Karma Tiffany Lewis
I will always remember you for your zest for life and your vast knowledge. I am greatful to you for making history come to life on our many trips to museums and historical places of interest. You will be missed by all of us
Annalisa and Bill were great friends of my parents Col George and Alice Meyer, as well as my godmother, Agnes (Trink) Trinchero. Mom and Annalisa took many trips together as well as shared a love of art, gardening and cooking. I recall many dinner parties at both houses over the years and when Trink would visit from California many wild tales were told from their time in Europe together with highlights from Italy, where Trink lived for a time. I am fortunate to have had a nice visit with Annalisa a few months ago when I dropped by, rang the doorbell and she came down the stairs to greet me. I was amazed at her energy and zest for life and will always remember the nice times our families spent together.
I will remember Annalisa for her joy of living, for her love of gardening, her intelligence, and for her encouragement in my art. She was proud of our ancestry of artists in the family and she wanted me to continue to use the Perree name in my signature, which I will do in her honor. She was my oldest cousin and I was blessed to know her. May she rest in lovely peace. Evie & John Mahrt
Family and Friends, I know that this is a very difficult time. It’s never easy to lose someone you love but the Bible promises us at John 5:28,29 that you will see Annalisa again. Until then may your hearts be filled with the memories of joyful times spent together as you celebrate a life well lived. Please accept my condolences.
