Anne B. Roberts

Anne B Roberts, age 92, loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother passed away on Friday June 14, 2024. Anne was born on February 14, 1932 to Heinrich & Grete Boecker in Gelsenkirchen, Germany. She grew up through WWII, and after school began working in the German embassy. This led her to the United States in the late 1950s, where she met her husband of 59 years, Eugene P Roberts. The family eventually settled in Vienna in 1973. She was very proud to become a US citizen in 1976.

Anne was very active in local women’s clubs, and cherished the time with the friends she made there. Anne was an avid bridge player, and enjoyed needlepoint, knitting, and cross stitch. She also took up golf later in life, and loved traveling in her retirement years. Anne also volunteered for Meals on Wheels, a local preschool, and taught evening German classes to adults.

She is survived by her sons Greg, Paul (wife JeanAnne) and Chris; grandchildren Brittney, Nicole, Luke, Joseph, and Kelly; and great grandson Eli. She is preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Eugene P Roberts; her father, mother, brother and sister.

The viewing will be from 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday June 26, 2024 at Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna, Virginia. A funeral mass will be held at 11 am on Thursday June 27, 2024, at Our Lady of Good Counsel followed by a reception at the church. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery, at a later date
