Our friendship started 47 years ago. We spent great years together as roommates at UCONN. We were in each others weddings. Life brought us to different parts of the country and our lives took their own intended paths. Years later we reconnected. We added new memories to our life experiences. It’s a shame that we don’t realize how important people have been in our lives until we reach our senior years. Tony and Barbara, you were a special part of my life’s journey. Thank you for being a part of it. We share your loss with you. Love, Fred & Linda
I am so sorry to hear of Tony’s passing, we car pooled for years from Rolling Valley Mall to DC and I have many good memories of our travels. My heart felt condolences to Barbara and the rest of the family. Tony was a good man and I will cherish the memories of the time we rode together. God Bless You Tony.
Barbara and family, We are so sorry for your loss. I worked with Tony at the Archives before coming to FEMA and he was a delight to work with. May God continue to keep you in his care. John & Jessie
Barbara, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. Tony worked in my office building and was kind and patient as our go-between for exchanging Nats tickets. I know he will be greatly missed. Bruce
The Cueva family keeps the Jacobik family in our thoughts and prayers as we remember the extraordinarily loving and kind friend to our family that was Tony. We will never forget his boisterous laugh and sweet gestures every year at the holidays and for birthdays. On a personal note, I’m especially grateful for his constant support of my musical aspirations, always inquiring about my next steps and sharing his genuine enthusiasm with us. You are so missed, Tony, and this next recital is for you! All our love, The Cueva Family
I worked with Tony at the Surface Transportation Board. He was always a delightful presence there. His office was filled with many plants which he spoke of as his friends. He also spoke of cooking and gardening and his family life. He was a joy.
Paul and Jakobik family, My deepest condolences and thoughts go out to you at this difficult time. Best wishes, Aron
Sincere condolences to Barbara and her sons and daughters-in-law. “The only way to take the sting out of death is to take the love out of life.” I didn’t get to know Tony really well but I know his son Paul. Paul obviously comes from a good home where Tony and Barbara provided a loving environment and taught him well. I have no doubt that Paul is the kind of man he is because he watched and learned from his father Tony at home.
My prayers are with all of Tony’s family. I pray God will wrap his arms around you and comfort you like no one else can do. So sorry for your loss, Tony was a great guy and I will always remember his huge smile.
