Barbara C. Bray
October 16, 1931 ~ January 20, 2024
Born in: Pine Bluff, North Carolina
Born in Pine Bluff, NC, Barbara Bray was the epitome of grace and authenticity. She lived a remarkable 92 years, leaving an indelible mark on those who were fortunate to know her.
A true individual, she embraced her stubborn spirit—always remaining loyal to herself and others. With an unwavering belief in those she loved, she saw people’s potential before they recognized it in themselves. A fantastic cook who relished the joy of good food, she cherished moments shared with family and friends over a cup of coffee and a slice of cake.
Her laughter was infectious, and her stylish flair reflected her personality. A military wife who traversed Europe and the United States, she approached each adventure with aplomb and humor—all while being the glue that held everything together.
Devoted wife of Frank Bray, she will be deeply missed and by John, Mike and Shannon Bray, Susan Hill, Cate, Mike, Molly, Julie, Emile, Cathy, and an ever-growing number of great grandchildren. More than anything, Barbara excelled at being present in the lives of those she cared for. Thank you for being you–a source of laughter, wisdom, and love. May your spirit continue to shine in our hearts.
