Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Dear family of Barbara, I was a classmate of Parkland High School, Class of ’63 and remember Barbara as a great person. We talked a lot at class reunions. We had lived in Franklin Farm for years before moving to AZ. I remember how she loved her job at Wegman’s. I hope the love and prayers of friends and family will comfort you in your loss. She will be missed by many. With Deepest Sympathy, Joanne Snyder Ehrig

  2. Byrne and Ilsa, Im grateful that your mom and I were in close touch over these last difficult months. She and I shared remembrances and laughter, recalling our tour in Rangoon, Burma oh-so-many years ago and of times since then. I loved Barbaras optimism and delightful sense of humor. Old friendships are rare treasures. She was very proud of both of you. Rick and I will miss Barbara, as we do your dad Bill. Our thoughts and prayers are with them and with you. Fond memories, Diane Haight

  3. Dear Byrne and Ilsa, So sorry to hear of your loss. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this trying time, Suzanne Alfaro, John Reichert, Lucas and Alex

  4. Dear Byrne and Ilsa, I can’t tell you how shocked and sorry I am at your Mom’s passing. My husband and I were friends of your parents since our days in Laos. We shared many good times together since then, including a visit to your home in Rangoon. I mourn the loss of your Mom, but know there is a very happy reunion in heaven right now. My heart goes out to you, Sue Thalacker

  5. I was shocked and saddened to hear of Barbara’s death. I had known your dad since 1963, when he was with the Company and I was in the Air Force. We visited your mom and dad in Rangoon after I joined the Company, and they stayed with us in Bangkok on more than one occasion–including an extended stay when Ilsa was born at the Bangkok Nursing Home. My sincerest sympathy.

  6. Dear Byrne and Ilsa; Barbara and Bill were with me in Bangkok,so many years ago. I was saddened by the news of Barbara’s passing. My deepest condolences.

  7. Byrne and Ilsa We are very sorry for your loss. Your mother was an extraordinary person who was loved by most everyone she met. Donna and I felt like Barbara was a sister. We always enjoyed her visits to Oregon, especially after your dad passed away. We have lost a great friend and will miss our many telephone conversations. Love Cleo & Donna Bayless
