Berneice A. Groat

Berneice A. Groat (87) of Springfield, Virginia passed away on Monday, March 10, 2008 at Greenspring Village. Beloved wife of the late Marvin J. Groat; mother of Susan Burwell (Bud), Eileen Olschlager & Rosanne Shalf (Jerome); daughter of the late Edward & Marie Anderson; sister of the late Imogene Anderson, Marvene Seyfang, & Marlin Anderson. She is survived by two grandchildren, John (Yuching) & Sarah Shalf, & two great-grandchildren, Mimi & Aaron Shalf; aunt of Nancy Wisecup, Tim Seyfang, & Kent Anderson. Berneice is also survived by two brothers-in-law, Eugene & Frank Groat. A memorial service will be held at Fairfax Baptist Church, 10830 Main St., Fairfax, Virginia 22030 on Saturday, March 15 at 3pm. Interment will be at Arlington National Cemetery on Thursday, April 10 at 2pm. In lieu of flowers, please make a contribution in her memory to Greenspring Hospice Care, 7414 Spring Village Dr., Springfield, Virginia 22150 or to Fairfax Baptist Church.
