Bertha-Emilie ("Be") Sloan, of McLean, Virginia and formerly of Trumbull, Connecticut died peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the age of 92. Be was a retired realtor and home maker who loved to play bridge and converse with her many friends. She was preceded in death by her loving husband Neil Sloan (d.1998), their daughter Pamela Ann Sloan, and Be's sisters Adelaide Spadoni and Helen Garland. She is survived by her son Jay and (his wife) Susan Sloan, grandchildren Katie and Christopher Sloan and her nephew Richard Spadoni. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to Nichols United Methodist Church, 35 Shelton Road, Trumbull, CT 06611. Interment will be held at Cypress Hills Cemetery in New York at a later date.
