Billy A. Buhl, Sr. of New Market, VA died on Sunday, January 14, 2007 at Culpeper Regional Hospital. Beloved husband of Mickey Buhl. Father of Penny Ostlund, Billy Buhl, Jr., Linda Stitt and Margie Buhl. Brother of Barbara Thompson, Juanita Cooper, John Buhl and the late Betty Pond Strickler. He is also survived by eight grandchildren and two great-granddaughters. Friends may call at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Thursday, January 18 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 19 at 11 a.m. at Dunn Loring United Methodist Church, 2501 Gallows Road, Dunn Loring, VA. Interment will follow at National Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Hospital or the American Cancer Society.

He was a man respected by everyone, devoted to his family in every activity they chose to be involved in, and thoroughly enjoyed each experience tremendously! I remeber Billy as a very generous man that graciously donated money and/or sponsored, to almost every team, activity, or person that approached him, I always wanted to be that same kind of person and Billy was a personal inspiration. His impact reached thousands of people and positively touched their lives over decades, he will be missed greatly! Having his family close by in the end surely made him smile one more time and at peace with himself. Billy Buhl was one of the finest people I’ve ever met!
