Of Vienna and Fairfax, VA, died on Sunday, May 13, 2012 at Fairfax Hospital in Falls Church, VA. Loving wife of the late Cleddie Byron Lanier; devoted mother of Renee' Ruth Silver and her husband Frank. She is also survived by her granddaughter Tonya (Matthew) Persinger and three great-grandchildren Danielle Hines, Max and Kane Persinger. Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association in Blanche's memory.

Rene, Doug, and Family, Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Our plan was to visit Memorial Day, but God’s plan differed. You know how much I thought of your Mother. She was one of a kind and way before her time. I will always remember her and the impact she had on my life, how she took me under her wing and mentored me in my first career job. Just know that your Mother’s living was not in vain and that she lived a full life surrounded by her family whom she dearly loved.
Dear Doug & Renee, I was very saddened to hear about Blanches passing. Your family is in our thoughts and prayers. I would like to extend an open invitation to run errands, cook a meal or keep Danielle company should you need someone to do so.
