Brian C. Bernhart
November 20, 1972 ~ November 11, 2022
Brian Christian Bernhart, beloved husband, son, brother, and friend unexpectedly passed away Friday, November 11, 2022, at the age of 49 as the result of a tragic car collision in Great Falls, Virginia. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Sarah Mullins Bernhart; parents, John and Jill Bernhart; brothers, Brendan Bernhart (Lori), Matt Bernhart (Elizabeth); sister, Molly Bernhart Walker (Jason); and 10 nieces and nephews all to whom he was a deeply devoted uncle.
Brian’s greatest joys were cooking for family and friends, and hiking with his and Sarah’s dog, Brodie. He was an avid Redskins fan and enjoyed all things soccer. Brian would have been 50 years young on Sunday, November 20, 2022.
A private service to celebrate and honor Brian’s life will be held Monday, November 21st at Money & King Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital or The Arlington Humane Society.

We are very saddened to hear of Brian’s sudden passing. Though we hadn’t seen Brian in many years, we have countless memories of our time growing up with him and Brendan at the tennis pro shop at Riverbend Country Club. For many summers in the ‘80s, we would see them (practically everyday) and their parents, who we fondly called “Mr. and Mrs. Bernhart.” Though Brian left this world much too soon, we hope all of you can draw on the years of cherished memories and good times to help you get through this unimaginably difficult time. – Marie and Tristan Coffelt
Brian was a loyal and true friend to me for the whole time I knew him. He always stuck by his friends even in tough times. I was very lucky to have a friend like him.
