Dear Fran and Family, My heartfelt condolences on the loss of a wonderful husband and loving father and grandfather. You are in my prayers. Kitty deChiara
Hey Brian, I’ll always remember your engaging smile and how easy it is to talk with you having such a calm, pleasant, and soft manner. The Bible courses I took with you and Jan leading them at OLGC were always so educational and fun. You are a man of conviction and love. I will continue to hold you in my prayers. May you rest in peace Brian. May our dear Lord hold the Davenport family in the palm of His hands. May the Holy Spirit give you the strength and courage to continue to shed a light to us all. Blessings, Ruth Munk (OLGC)
Brian and I met in grade school or middle school. Not sure. We were both Army brats and were used to moving place to place. Not only did we have our Army experiences, but we were both devout Catholics. I was blessed to have the opportunity to sit with Brian and his wife at our 40th reunion . God bless both of them. What a beautiful couple!! Prayers for the family!!! Hope Heaven Hatch
Shared many adventures during our time at Annandale. I remember Brian as a kind and always gracious gentleman. We survived many a weekend night at the Town Tavern and round trips between DC and Annandale. While saddened at his passing I sit her with a smile remembering our time together as young men. Rest In Peace my friend.
Fran, I’m so very sorry to learn of Brian’s passing. To me, the two of you always represented the face of Christ to others, gentle, loving, kind and compassionate. Please accept my deepest condolences and know that you and your family are in my prayers. Blessings and peace! Marge Van Lierde
Brian and I go back to middle school. He was an Army brat and so was I. He was such a kind human being. He seemed shy in high school, but I think he was far and above all the high school “stuff.” He had already made up his mind of his career path. Thank God for his incredible faith. He certainly is enjoying the fruit of his efforts now. God bless you Brian. We will meet again!!
Brian was a good husband, a good father, a good friend, and a good Army officer. He will be missed by his family and many friends.
As a daily communicant at OLGC, I was always impressed to see Brian frequently lead the congregation in prayer — as was it to see Fran do so also. We will all miss Brian, but are comforted by knowing that he is eternally happy with the Trinity. May Fran also be comforted by this knowledge and may Brian enjoy forever the peace which he so richly deserves. Regards, John Brandt
