Our thoughts and prayers are with you all! We will miss Bruce deeply. Lots of love! The Fitzgerald’s
I had the privledge of working with Bruce at Raytheon supporting US Navy programs in the early 90s. He was one of the most dedicated and ethical people that I have ever had the opportunity to work with. My wife, Janice. and I extend to Anne and Jill our sincere sympathy for his passing and will keep him in our prayers. John OBrien
My condolences on the death of Bruce Marshall. I grew up with Bruce in Tuckahoe/Crestwood New York, and shared membership in the Asbury United Methodist Church there. I “ran” in to Bruce in Hawaii over 50 years ago in Hawaii while there for my roommate’s wedding, and his ship was in port. Bruce was a wonderful person with many leadership skills. I would like to get in touch with his sister Joyce Marshall Utter, a good friend in high school and church. I can be reached at Gig4smile@aol.com. I would like to know the details of the internment at Arlington. Because of the attendance limitation, I will not attend the church service tomorrow. But my heart and thoughts will be with the family. Charlotte Smiley “Gig” Read
I worked with Bruce when I was Asst Navigator and he was an Officewr of the Deck on the USS Independence in the early 70s. He was one of three qualified C-1 pilots so there was always competition for his time when they wanted him to fly. We carpooled when in port in Norfolk. He lived in Point of View and I lived in adjacent Ridglea. We used to stop at the O Club at Breezy Point for Martinis waiting for traffic to thin. A great guy. Thank you Bruce for your service! Our family got “re-acquainted” with Bruce when he and Anne moved to Ashby Ponds and lived down the hall from Grammie (Bobbie Kondracki). It was a surprise to see the Hecht family photos in their apartment. Our son Jack played basketball with grandson Robbie in Vienna. Bruce was a doting granddad who loved watching his grandkids enjoying sports and hobbies and loved to tell stories of their successes. Our prayers are extended to Anne as well as the Hecht family. ~John, Carol, Colleen, and Jack Kerins
