  1. Our deepest condolences. Our dearest Uncle Carl will always be in our hearts. I am proud to continue his tradition of service as an officer in the Transportation Corps.

  2. Carl was one of the finest men I ever knew and a man of the utmost character and integrity. He was a solid member of our Sea-Land team for many years of dedicated service. May God bless his soul and his family.

  3. To Rosemarie and family, we both would like to express our deepest sympathies. Mr Breining will be very fondly remembered in our office. His pleasant character and winning smile will not be forgotten. We wish you all peace in your hearts. Sincerely, Elizabeth and Win from the doctors office.

  4. Carl commanded the US Armys 28th Truck Battalion in Germany during the cold war from 1965 thru 1967, and those of us in that outfit considered him to be the best battalion commander in the military. Under his leadership, the 28th excelled in everything it did, was always ready to do whatever it was called on to do. Carl led by example, and to us junior officers who were serving under his command, he personified commitment and professionalism at its very best. Our nation has been built and preserved by men like Carl, and he will be missed by all who knew him.
