On Tuesday, June 20, 2017, Carol Elizabeth Moroz of Falls Church, Virginia passed at the Capital Giving Halquist Memorial Inpatient Center, Arlington, Virginia after a long battle with cancer in the presence of family and friends. She was 63. Beloved wife of James Charles Beachell, Lt. Col., USAF, Retired. Born in New York City, New York, she was the daughter of Stephen and Marie Moroz, deceased. She is survived by her husband, numerous cousins, nieces, and beloved pets.

Carol graduated from the University of Rochester with a Bachelor of Arts degree and later received an MBA from Northeastern University. Carol was active in Women in Technology (WIT) and was President of her local homeowners' association. Besides Carol's professional life as a leader in technology related sales at Level (3) Communications, she was an accomplished classical pianist.

Relatives and friends are invited to Funeral Services at Money & King, 171 West Maple Avenue, Vienna, Virginia 22180 on July 15, 11:00 AM, with interment at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

  1. My deepest condolences and prayers for God’s comfort to Carol’s husband Jim and to all her friends and relations. Her passing is indeed a loss to us all.

  2. What a great friend and former coworker when visiting DEC Santa Clara for work. I will miss her annual holiday card with enclosed note. My condolences to her family.

  4. Carol was a wonderful friend and always there for her friends in time of need. We had the opportunity to work together both at PeopleSoft (Oracle) and SAP. Our friendship grew from the business colleague friendship to close personal friends. We share many interests together including: WIT, pets (dogs) and many professional friends. My life has been deeply enriched with her friendship and I miss her very much. I hope she is without pain and suffering. My condolences to Jim, the pets and the family.

  5. Carol was a close family friend who will be greatly missed by the three girls, Pam, Gail & Jill Carlson ♥️ Her beautiful piano music and amazing comic book collection will live on in our fond memories.
