Carol Sheppard (nee Fletcher), age 77, died on June 24, 2015 at her daughter's home in Orange, Virginia. She was the widow of Leo J. Sheppard.
Born February 28, 1938 in Grundy, Virginia, she was the daughter of the late Jake and Marge Fletcher of Home Creek.
She is survived by her children, Dale Sheppard, his wife Linda, Melanie Magner, her husband Art, and Scott Sheppard and his wife Tracy; her siblings, Evelyn Blankenship, Janice Rainbolt, Joyce Taylor, Betty Brown, Sandy Phelps, Bobby Fletcher, Johnny Fletcher and Jerry Fletcher; her grandchildren, Justin, Samantha, Josh, Amanda, Jake and Max and her great-grandchildren, Madison and Ryan. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Roger Fletcher and her sister, Rita Delph.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hospice of the Piedmont, 675 Peter Jefferson Parkway, Charlottesville, Virginia 22911.
