Our deepest condolences on the loss of your beloved wife and mother. Regrettably, we will be unable to attend the viewing and service, but would like to pay tribute to Aunt Caty through a poem that Connie wrote for her daughter Heather, who passed away 14 years ago. MY LOVE LIVES My love lives- beyond this planet’s still uncounted days, in magic and vast unmeasured ways, within the calm that passes perfect peace, with all my will, though life should cease, brightly, though the shadows cover me, and in the soul-song that makes the caged bird free. – Constance Lessard Briggs
My dear all I was so sorry to learn of the death of your belived mom and wife. I have so many fond memories of her the times that I was in her presence. She was a lovely lady and such a devoted mom to you all. Know that I keep you all in my thoughts and prayers and close to my heart. Please let me know if there is anything I can do to help. I am trying to rearrange a meeting that I had already scheduled for Saturday in hopes that I can come up to Vienna. With love and deepest sympathy Sandra Roeder Wagaman
There are no words that could express the sadness we feel on the loss of Caty Briggs. She was such an open, warm, and caring woman who loved her family, friends, and life with such passion! She will be missed; yet her legacy and memory will always live on in all of the wonderful children and grandchildren of the Briggs clan!
Her progeny–all those wonderfully diverse, yet clearly Briggs’ children & grandchildren–know more than we mere neighbors & friends do, of Caty’s unfailing smile and laughing eyes, that neither age,nor infirmity and now even her merciful, but exceedingly regrettable death can dim, even in the slightest. Love to us all in her enduring memory!

So sorry for your loss, Chuck and family — you always seemed to have a strong family bonding and hope you can help each other get through it all.
My Dearest Briggs Family, I am deeply saddened to learn of the loss of your Mother. She was a beautiful woman. I have many great childhood memories of being in your home, the pool up the street, and the infamous alligator sandwiches. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this time. May she be reunited in heaven with those friends and family that have been lost. Fondly, Carol
To Chuck and Family – I was saddened to learn of Catherine’s passing, and am sorry I was unable to express condolences in person. May the bright light she cast during her life continue to shine on all of you. My husband, Carroll, joins me in deepest sympathy to all of you. Sincerely, Miriam (Quinlan) Towey
Dear Chuck and family: I am so glad that I had the opportunity to meet Katy during those many times that we met at your home to conduct the 711 Investment Club meetings. On behalf of all of the 711 Club members, please accept our deepest and sympathies for your loss. Best Regards, Leo
I will always remember Mrs. Briggs with a smile on my face. I spent many of my younger days at the Briggs home and I never once felt like a guest. Around the Briggs house no matter what was going on you were just automatically included, The Briggs Family has always had an open heart and friendly spirit, guided in large part by the always smiling Mrs. Briggs. Our prayers go out to all of the family.
Dear Mike and Charlie, I am so sorry. There is no love like a mother’s. She is close to your heart and her words and spirit will resonate with you all of your days and her light will shine in your children’s eyes. Trust this.
