CDR Hugh William Smith, US NAVY (Ret.), age 89, of Falls Church, VA, passed peacefully on Friday, October 28, 2011, surrounded by his wife of 68 years and daughter. Devoted husband of his loving wife Wilma Evelyn; loving father of Lynda Diane Smith of Oakton, VA and Hugh William, Jr. and his wife Debra Smith of Edgewood, WA. He is also survived by grandchildren, Brett Smith of Longbeach, CA and Derek and his wife Becka Smith of Edgewood, WA. Hugh had an illustrious 28 year career with the US Navy as an Aviator.
