Celsa González Cabán
January 9, 1940 ~ October 21, 2022
Celsa González Cabán (age 82) passed away Friday, October 21st, 2022. She was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Félix González and Ezequiela Cabán. Beloved wife to Sixto Velázquez for 60 years. Devoted mother of two children, Michelle Bosset and Steven Velázquez. Also survived by her four grandchildren, Erica, Michael, Steven Sebastian, and Mark Andrew. She always gave full effort in every part of her life, from professionally recording beautiful songs to balancing a job and two children.
Regardless of the circumstances, she always approached life with a smile and was ready to do anything to put a smile on someone else’s face. Selflessness and love are what made Celsa, and these are the values that she has passed down to her whole family. With a voice second to none and the spirit of a true performer, she brightened the world for anyone lucky enough to cross her path. Her absence will hurt, but those who knew her will never stop celebrating her life by living as she did: happily and full of love.
Visitation will be on Monday, October 24th, from 5 to 8 pm at Money and King Funeral Home located at 171 Maple Ave West, Vienna VA. Funeral service will be held at Money and King Funeral Home at 11 am on Tuesday, October 25th, followed by a reception at her daughter Michelle’s residence.

Celsa shared her singing voice with us with songs from the heart. She loved her family and friends and endeared those traits to her children Michelle and Steven. She shared a romance with her husband Sixto for over sixty years. Now the Almighty has taken her to join those loves who have gone before her so that she may sing to them. While her physical being will no longer be with us, she will always be in our hearts. God bless.
