Charlene Webb Przybyla, born December 13, 1937, in Savannah, Georgia, passed away surrounded by the love of her family and the many memories she created over a long and meaningful life.

Charlene was the daughter of William Webb and Cecillia B. Webb. She grew up in Savannah alongside her brother, the late Ronald W. Webb, and her sister, the late Jayne W. Williams, in the city she always considered home.

She shared 57 devoted years of marriage with her beloved husband, Ted P. Przybyla. Together they built a life centered on family, service, and community.

After graduating from college, Charlene followed her passion for education and enjoyed teaching in both Georgia and Virginia. Her love of learning and dedication to her students left a lasting impression on many young lives. Later, she joined her husband in his dental practice, where she supported the work they did together and the community they served.

Charlene was a longtime member of Vienna Presbyterian Church, where she worshiped and remained active in the life of the congregation for 40 years.

Family was at the heart of Charlene’s life. Charlene was the loving mother of Tania C. Przybyla and the late Denise Kaley. She was a proud and devoted grandmother to Nathan Kaley, Aaron Kaley, Justin Kaley, and Morgan Kaley and nieces and nephews who will remember her with love.

In keeping with her wishes, a private family service will be held at a later date in her beloved Savannah, Georgia, where her memories will be laid to rest alongside her loving husband, Ted, and other cherished family members.

Charlene will be remembered for her devotion to her family, her dedication as a teacher, and the quiet kindness she shared with those around her. Her life touched many, and she will be deeply missed.

Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Charlene will be missed. I have known her and her family for many years. We bonded over many laughs, many tears, and liver pate.

  2. I have had the pleasure of knowing Charlene for many decades, both through church and having her delightful grandchildren at school. What a wonderful family. They touched so many lives in the Vienna community. She will truly be missed by many. It helps to know she is now with her beloved husband, Ted and her sweet daughter, Denise. God will welcome you true and faithful Christian with open arms and healing powers so you will be made whole again in heaven. My thoughts and prayers remain with Tania, Nate, Aaron, Justin and Morgan.

  3. Our family moved into the house next door to the Przybyla family in the early 1970s. We were fast friends and had many adventures over the years, from our lemonade stands and neighborhood carnivals, to our infamous variety shows which our parents–including Ted and Charlene– somehow endured with straight faces. Charlene was a hardworking, kind, solid presence who led by example. She told it straight, which I so respected. I came to her for advice more than once and thought of her as a second mom. We laughed constantly–anyone who knew Ted and Denise knows this is true. The quintessential Southern lady who held together a chosen family of close friends and a family that grew and gathered around her. There’s no one else like Charlene. You’ll be so missed. Much love to Tania and all the grandkids and family.

  5. My prayers go out to Nathan, Justin, Morgan, and Aaron. And Prayers to Tania.
Charlene had a smile that lit up the room. I will truly miss her.

  6. Dear Przybyla family ~ I am so saddened to read the news of Mrs. Przbyla’s passing. While I only met her briefly on one occasion, Denise spoke of her lovingly and often. My prayers are with Tania and all of Denise’s children; that her memory will always be a blessing to you, and that God will wrap His loving arms around you during this difficult time & everyday beyond.

    Warmest regards,
Kathy Rogers (a Vienna friend of Denise’s)
