Charles "Chuck" Robert Doerrler
November 15, 1937 ~ September 26, 2022
Charles (Chuck) Robert Doerrler, 84, of Centreville, VA, passed away peacefully September 26, 2022, at Arden Courts of Fair Oaks in Fairfax, VA. Born in Erie PA to Marie and Robert Doerrler, he grew up in Erie PA. After graduating from high school, he attended Gannon College, obtaining a business degree. After graduating, he worked at Olmstead Air Force base outside Middletown, PA. It was there that he met Edna (Kay) Bitterman. They were married in 1965. Throughout the 1970s and 1980s they lived in State College, PA, where they raised their three children Robert (Bob), Sally and William (Bill). Kay and Chuck lived in Centreville, VA for twenty years, until Kay passed away in 2013. Chuck is survived by his three children, their spouses Andrew Payze and Michelle Doerrler and seven grandchildren: Michael Doerrler; Emma, Samantha and Sophie Payze and Riley, Kyle and Jake Doerrler. Chuck loved singing in both the Saint Andrew’s church choir and with the Bull Run Troubadours, Penn State wrestling and Aikido.

So many memories of Kay and Chuck at field hockey days, a great tribute to them for raising such wonderful, caring children.
Chuck will be missed but I know that there are many, many happy memories. Our and thoughts go out to you and the rest of the family,
