Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. My dear brother “Took”: I so enjoyed our good times! I will miss our talks. We, so many times, just picked up the phone to tell each other what was on our mind and in our heart while the other would listen and give brotherly advice. I will miss that. I will miss YOU! Until we one day, meet again… Love Always, your loving brother, “Buzz”.

  2. We met Charlie & Peggy when Kathi & Scott joined the neighborhood. Our boys were just 14 m old. When Nathan started calling Charlie LaLa we found out it was because he drove a Lincoln ! Made sense to us. We were lucky to be included as family – how lucky for us. Thanks for the memories.

  3. Mr. Glaze (as well as Mrs. Glaze) were very special people in my life as a child. I remember riding in their boat and spending lots of time at their house as a friend of their daughter Peggy Ann. I remember how involved he was at our high school and how supportive he was of his son Ronnie who was our star football player. I always remember how close Mr. and Mrs. Glaze were and how much fun they seem to have together. Rest in peace. Mrs. Glaze you and your family will be in my prayers. Barbara Etter Dublin

  4. Charlie Glaze was instrumental in the survival and success of an organization that had no place to go. He believed and opened his heart and his doors. Charlie is an unsung hero and will receive his rewards in heaven! Our family is very grateful.

  5. Kathi and family, May the Lord keep you comforted and at peace knowing that Mr. Glaze lived a life blessed and chosen by God. Love you, Robb & Joy Lansdown

  6. Kathi and Family, So sorry to hear of your loss. Our prayers were heard, just answered with God’s will. He is now with the Lord, and I hope that knowing there are many people who will keep you and your family in our prayers during this difficult time will ease the pain of loss a bit. He sounded like an amazing person, and has done his life works here. Thoughts and prayers,

  7. Dear Aunt Peggy, family, and friends of Charles D. Glaze, In today’s world, the heroes we can look up to are few and far between. Uncle Tookie is one of those few. As human beings go, they don’t get any better that that man. He was a true gentleman, helpful to others, a hard worker, and a leader. Even though through his hard work, he became wealthy, he never looked down on anyone no matter what their standing in life was. He helped my husband and I financially when we were first starting out, and I know he did this for many others as well. He expressed interest in the lives of others, and if there were any tips or help he could give, he offered them. He set a wonderful example for us all. He will be greatly missed, but now is at peace. Love, Mary

  8. Peggy, I loved spending time with you and Charlie. It was wonderful to see your total love and devotion to each other. I know how much you’ll miss him, but he’s with Rick now and no longer in pain. I love you both.

  9. I’m so glad I had the chance to meet Charlie and give him a joyride down Maple Avenue at the Halloween Parade. With my deepest sympathies to the Glaze Family.

  10. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family in this time of loss. We will all miss Charlie’s warm smile and love for life. Harley will miss sitting in his lap to get his head scratched. We love you Peggy.

  11. Kathi and family, so sorry about your loss. I know Mr. Glaze as a man who has left behind a legacy of kindness, love and faith for and in his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren!

  12. I am sorry for your loss and know you will always cherish all those memories. I certainly have mine from over the years, and they just made me smile.

  13. The Glaze Family, My heartfelt sympathy for your family on the loss of your Father and Brother. I remember days from Hawkins Glass Company.

  14. Our hearts are breaking, but they are swelling at the same time, for having known a true angel on earth. The love you showed both of us was always genuine, and returned with great intensity. Your legacy lives on in all of us fortunate enough to have spent time with you. Godspeed, Uncle.
