On June 27, 2025, Cheryl “Denise” Kadir of Gainesville, VA, unexpectedly passed away at the age of 62.

She will be lovingly missed by her husband of 40 years, Abdul “Wahid” Kadir; her sons: Arram “Romy” (Jennifer Seker), Allann “Lonnie”, Bellan “Andrew” (Gloria Hernandez); her grandchildren: Bradie, Bryson, Marissa, Makai; her brothers: John “Robbie” Owens, “Randy” Ralph A. Owens, Jr. (Kathryn); sister Deanna Scott; nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and numerous other family and friends.

She was predeceased by her loving parents Delores and Ralph A. Owens, Sr. and grandchild Lincoln Kadir.

Services:

Viewing: Wednesday, July 9, 2025, 6:00 pm to 8 pm at Money and King Funeral Home

Celebration of Life: Thursday, July 10, 2025, 12:00 pm to 1:00 pm at Ox Hill Baptist Church

Internment: Thursday, July 10, 2025, 2:00 pm at Stonewall Memory Gardens

Flowers can be sent to Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna, VA or donations can be made to the American Cancer Society

We knew we were getting older, but it all seems to come so fast. I loved Denise’s personality and enjoyed being with her. Wish we had more times together.
