Clyde Winston Amonett, age 98 of Vienna, Virginia. Passed away on Thursday, May 30, 2024 He was the Husband of the Late Jeanne K. Amonett
Clyde was born on January 3, 1926 in Downing, Wisconsin to Bert and Zella Amonett After graduating High School, Clyde joined the U.S. Navy and was a proud WWII veteran having served on the USS Colorado. Later in life he became a proud charter member of the Merrifield Lions Club.
In 1950 Clyde married Jeanne Kennedy and they were married 64 years, he is survived by his son Jim Amonett and his wife Linda, daughter Kerry Knighton, Grandchildren Staci Knighton, Lauren Meran and her husband Liscar, Wes Amonett and his wife Nicole and 4 Great Grandchildren.
The Family will receive friends at the Money and King Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2024 from 5pm to 7pm Clyde will be buried with his wife at Arlington National Cemetery at a future date and time.
Memorial Contribution in Clyde’s name may be made to the Merrifield Lions Club Charities, P.O. Box 316, Merrifield, VA 22116
