In the late 1970’s I had the honor of knowing Col. Meese and his family at Aberdeen Proving Grounds. I babysat for Michael on numerous occasions and I remember Col. Meese as a kind man and a devoted father. My own father has known Col. Meese since they were stationed together in Viet Nam and he has great respect for him as a soldier, as a man, and as a friend. We have all lost a man of honor. I am thankful for his committment to his country and all he has done for our future.
We are glad that we had a chance to get to know Mr. Meese. He was a wonderful man and took great pride and joy in his son, Michael. We have known Michael for about 15 years, and had the opportunity to see and visit with his father over the years. We had a lot of fun when we all went to dinner one evening at Warehouse Bar & Grille in Old Town, Alexandria with Michael and his Dad. We really enjoyed his company and hearing all of the military stories! Our thoughts are with you and your family at this time, Michael. Take care and best regards, Amy & Wayne Connelly
