Crystal Pearl Finnie

Crystal Pearl Edwards Finnie, 101, of Fairfax, VA, passed away peacefully at home on January 22, 2017. She began her life's journey on a farm in Kansas where she learned the values of hard work, good character, and tenacity. Her early career with the GSA took her to Las Vegas, Los Angeles, and Toyko, Japan where she met and married her husband, Lt Col William Lewis Finnie. As a military officer's wife, she lived in Japan and Germany in addition to several American installations, including the Air Force Academy in Colorado. Her husband's final assignment at The Pentagon brought her to Virginia in the mid-1960s. In addition to raising her children, she worked as a sales manager for multiple well-respected housing developers in the Northern Virginia area. An avid traveler, in her lifetime she ventured all around the world on over thirty cruises. Crystal is predeceased by her husband and is survived by her children William John Finnie and Melba Amee Finnie Dols, both of Virginia, as well as five loving grandchildren and seven adoring great-grandchildren.
