Dennis Clark of Vienna, VA died on Saturday, September 13, 2014. Loving
father of Marji (Steve) Grubic and Dennis (Kathy) Clark, grandfather of Tyler, Brandon and Clark Grubic and Ryan Clark, brother of Ann Loew and uncle to 7 nieces and nephews. He is also survived by Diana Janczewski, his companion of 34 years and her children Dr. Mark, Dr. Jola, and Dr. Dianne. He was preceded in death by parents Douglas A. Clark and Catherine Foley Clark and sister Patricia Clark.
Mr. Clark was born in DC in 1939. His family moved to NOVA in the 1940s. He graduated St. John's Academy in DC and then earned a BS degree from Virginia Tech in 1962. He was employed by USDA where he earned a Master's Degree. He retired from USDA in 1986. He became active in real estate and worked at the Fairfax County Registrar's Office.
Mr. Clark was a very active member of the Lions Club, holding many leadership and service positions throughout his life. He was a Past District Governor of 24A Lions of Virginia, a Past President of the Great Falls Lions Club and a current member of the Merrifield Lions Club. He operated the Stamps for the Wounded program for 30 years and was a key organizer and supporter for the Old Dominion Eye Bank Sight Program and the Lions of Virginia Hearing Foundation & Temporal Bone Bank. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Arlington.
Mr. Clark was a proud patriot who loved the USA and the Commonwealth of Virginia, was a lifelong member of the Republican Party and a Life Member of the NRA. He was an accomplished skeet and trap shooter, winning several National Skeet Shooting Association competitions at both state and national levels in the 1950's and 1960's.
Relatives and friends are invited to Dennis' Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, September 19 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at Our Lady of Good Counsel Catholic Church, 8601 Wolf Trap Rd., Vienna VA on Saturday, September 20 at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow at Columbia Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Merrifield Lions Club. Dennis’ kind heart and charitable work, especially for the Lions Club and Stamps for the Wounded, will will be missed. Dennis was passionate about making a difference in the lives of the people he touched. We lost a great friend.

I have know Dennis for over 10 years and he was a positive person who helped many get through their difficult times. He worked tirelessly for Stamps for the Wound, Lions and Eye Bank. He was a wonderful man.
