Guestbook

  1. Dear Barbara, We are so very sorry that Don is gone. He was a true friend and great neighbor. We will remember his quick smile, silly jokes and warm heart. Your life together was one we long admired and can only hope to imitate. You remain in our hearts and prayers. With love and friendship,

  2. Don was a great friend to my son, Billy Kohnken. He helped secure a way for Billy to go to GMU through the Lions Club. He and Billy traded Mr.Fisher jokes and puns frequently and with great relish. Billy was confined to a wheelchair but Don seemed not to notice. He was a good friend to all of us.

  3. This is a sad time for all who knew Don, but especially difficult for you, Barbara and family. May you feel the warmth of our love as all hearts at OUMC go out to you and your family at this difficult time. May you find comfort in the knowledge that Don lived a good, productive life, loving and supporting family and country – Now, without a long earthly suffering, gone to a better place. When our Christian Veterans, like Don, ship from shore, surely they become fully engaged and productive in God’s Heavenly Works. May God bless you and give comfort.

  4. Barbara…. our thoughts and prayers are with your whole family. We were so sad to hear the news of Don’s passing. Praying for your hearts to be comforted. Sorry we won’t be able to come to Va for the service. Know that our thoughts are with you. Sending big hugs from North Carolina!

  5. I am so sorry for your loss. Don was always so fun to be around. I wish I could make it to the memorial service. We are out of town. Lots of love to you Barbara.

  6. Barbara, there are no words to express our sorrow over Don’s passing. The four of us have spent some memorable times together. Our prayers are for you as well as for Keith and his family. Please know that we would be there for the service if it were possible. We will be talking with you soon on the phone. Love and Prayers

  7. Barbara & Family We know you and the family have heavy hearts as do all those who love you and your family. We have lost a true friend. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all at this time. Love and Prayers,

  8. Dear Barbara, Keith, Jen and Nick Words cannot express the void already felt by Don’s passing. We cherish the wonderful times we had for many years and will always keep them close. Our prayer is that God keep you all in his loving arms and get you thru the bad times. We love you.
