Donna McMasters Riggles Tropp was born in Lake Preston , South Dakota on June 23, 1921. She lived through the Dust Bowl and grew up in South Dakota with her parents, Jalma and Mark McMasters, and brother Frances. In 1943 she joined the Navy and was assigned to Washington, DC. She met another Navy man, William Lewis Riggles, Jr., and they were married at the close of World War II. They had three children. Donna is survived by her three daughters, Lynn Riggs, Janet German and husband Peter German, Julie Riggles and her husband Richard Franey; grandchildren Nora Coleman, Hillary Caryl, Galen Caryl, Courtney Caryl Garth and her husband Kade Garth and great grandson Rowan Garth.
Donna and Lewis raised their three daughters and made their home in Arlington, Virginia. After her husband Lewis’ death, Donna married Fred Tropp. They spent many happy vacations in Florida during their time together and after Fred’s passing Donna decided to make her home in Florida. She very much enjoyed the sunny warm weather and the exciting thunderstorms.
Donna was best known as a faithful friend, was active in her church and enjoyed her family. She will be greatly missed.
