Douglas W. Jarrett (1924) of Middleburg, VA, formerly of Tysons Corner, VA on Thursday, November 22, 2007 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of the late J. Horace Jarrett; she is survived by her son John D. Jarrett, his wife Della and their daughters Melissa, Lauren and Stephanie; her daughter Rebecca J. Poston, her husband Ron and their daughter Elizabeth and her sisters Rubye Arthur and Jessie Bruce. Family and friends are invited to Mrs. Jarrett's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home on Monday, November 26 from 6 to 8 p.m. A reception will be held at First Christian Church, 6165 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22044 on Tuesday, November 27 from 11:30 a.m. until time of funeral service at 1 p.m. Interment Andrew Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Christian Church, Alzheimer's Associaion, 11241 Waples Mill Road, Fairfax, VA 22030; Capital Hospice, 6565 Arlington Blvd., Ste. 501, Falls Church, VA 22042 or Middleburg Fire and Rescue.

  5. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Mrs. Jarrett was a wonderful and giving women who was an important part of all our lives. She let us swim in her pool and invade her privacy many times during our childhood. My cousin Sharon worked for the Jarrett’s until Horace’s death and thought of them as her family. My father Lewis’s first job was with Horace in thier surveying business. Mrs. Jarrett was very close to my Grandmother and I know she loved her dearly. I wish we could have been with you on this life’s celebration of a wonderful women who we all were honered and blessed to know.
