Of McLean, Virginia passed away on June 2, 2015. Born in Jerusalem, Palestine in 1927, he moved to the Washington, DC area in 1956. He graduated from Georgetown University School of Dentistry and went on to serve on the faculty. He was a partner with the dental practice of Carmi and Knoll in Washington, DC. He was the beloved husband of the late Ann Berniere Carmi; brother of Loris Assily and the late Paul D. Carmi and uncle of Aida Yamine (Chahine) and David Carmi (Ruth).

It is with heavy hearts that we learned of the passing of our dear friend Mark. We were privileged and honored to have enjoyed his company and association for many, many years in both DC and CT.
