Elizabeth D. Floyd, 94, died on Friday, March 26, 2010 at her residence in Fairfax, Va. She was a native of New Orleans, La., and had lived in Fairfax for the past 10 years. She was the wife of the late John Thad Floyd, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth F. Quatrevaux of Fairfax, Va. The family suggests that donations be made to a charity of one's choice.

Liz, All your neighbors will miss Lizette. She was an incredible woman and loved to take care of her “chores” while you were at work. She took great pride in watering the plants around the outside of the house and making sure the front walk and back deck were impeccably clean. I will always remember her watching and waving to you each time we left to attend the ballet. It may sound cliche, but you were truly the apple of her eye. With my love, Barbara (and Dave)

I will miss you at all of our Holiday family gatherings, as will all of my family, and I will miss you especially in May as I ejoy the Springtime and think back to all of your past birthday celebrations. May you be at peace.
