Elizabeth "Betty" Dronenburg of McLean, VA passed away Monday, January 4, 2016, ending her long and brave battle with Lymphoma and finally Leukemia.

She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Edward Dronenburg, her children, Linda Austin (Larry) and Mark Dronenburg (Julie), her grand children, two brothers and many nieces and nephews.

Betty was born at home in Great Falls, VA to James Russell and Blanche Oliver (deceased) and was the next to youngest of five children. She attended Vienna elementary and graduated from Fairfax high school. She was a long-time employee of Hazelton Laboratory / COVANCE as their receptionist and telephone operator.

Betty was a lifelong, faithful member of Andrew Chapel UMC and loved her church family. She was a choir member since she was a teen, played in the bell choir, and participated in Women's Society and the Catering Committee and Care Team. She was also a member of Vienna Choral Society for many years. She offered companionship to many aging friends and neighbors over the years, was no stranger to a vegetable garden, and enjoyed sewing and trying new recipes.

She had many close and caring friends and is so loved and missed by all. To borrow words from a friend Heaven has another wonderful person in their choir.

Funeral services will be at Andrew Chapel United Methodist Church
