Times are tough. They become almost unbearable when a good soul passes. I’ll miss you Emily.
My heartfelt condolences to Emmy’s family. Emmy made a very special place for herself in my heart many years ago. That spot will be forever cherished. “The heart hath its own memory, like the mind. And in it are enshrined the precious keepsakes, into which is wrought the giver’s loving thought.” ~ H.W. Longfellow

Dear Duane & Family: So sorry to hear of Emmie’s passing. My condolences. Marty Lee
I’ve known Emily since 2000, and she was a kind and friendly woman. I used to be her nail technican, and I loved having her around. Her lost brought much sorrow to my heart. I miss you Emily.
Duane, Please accept our sympathy at this difficult time.
To the Banners, My deepest condolences. I remember hanging out at your parents house in Vienna(right off of Courthouse) back in 7th and 8th grade. We had great memories and I will never forget what a kind person you were. You friends and family will always miss you but you are in a better place with God. God Bless your family. <3, JAK.
While it’s hard to find comfort in a time like this, the memories I have of Emily and our adolescence is like a warm blanket on a winter’s night. She was the first person to talk to me in 7th grade. We shared a love of singing and theatre. We bonded over Friendly’s ice cream and diet cokes (NO ICE!) We had an amazing trip to Ocean City! I remember when she fell in love. I will never forget her wedding day. May she be the angel that watches over us. She’ll sing us to sleep at night and be the sunshine that wakes us in the morning. Much love, Amber
“The life and love we create is the life and love we live”. Rest in peace Emily. Condolences to your family.
MaryJo, My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. May you find comfort among your family and friends during this difficult time.
Emily was my nearest and dearest friend growing up. I have so many fond memories of all our adventures together. She will remain in my heart forever…
I have this picture of Emily and I on our tee-ball team – the Oriole’s. Em’s mom was our coach, and in the pic you can see the three of us sitting in a team circle. Emily’s face is just vibrant and silly, and we are all laughing. When I met up with her again in middle school, we became good friends. While we lost touch in high school, she still, and always will, have this same vibrant imprint on my life. To Emily’s family, I am so sorry for your loss. My condolences and thoughts are with you.
We are so sorry to hear about Emily. We just heard the news and would have come up had we known. Call if you need anything at all. Come visit us in Roanoke if you need some time out Duane! We have a spare room!
Emily was a blessing to all that met her. Thankful that she was brought across my path those many years ago. My heart goes out to her family for I know they were close. May God bless you all! <3
