Eric Alan Scheer
September 5, 1963 ~ November 19, 2018
Eric was a loving father to Sarah and husband to Julie. He worked and played with passion and loved his family and friends. He was taken from us much too early and will be greatly missed.

Rest easy my friend. Thank you for all of the wonderful memories, great trips and endless conversations around the fire pit. You brought so much fun and many special moments into our lives. We will miss you dearly. You will live forever in our hearts.
Much Love,
The Lowreys
One thing I loved about Eric is he was an eternal optimist. He always tried to point out the bright side of a situation no matter how I complained, whether that be the cost of pool membership dues or how badly the Seattle Seahawks were losing. In watching some big games he would tell me never to give up hope, that there was plenty of game left. You know what. Most of those times he was right and they game back to win. Until we meet again my friend
Eric was the definition of a great man and a friend who will be greatly missed. – Michael & Kris
Farewell good friend
My deepest condolences to the family, may you find comfort in prayer and the beautiful words of Isaiah 25:8 where God promises us that He will soon eliminate all death and suffering.
My deepest condolences to the family. Eric was a great guy and will be truly missed. My prayers to the family. I am heart broken for you all.
“Grief never ends… but it does change. It is a passage, not a place to stay. Grief is not a sign of weakness, nor a lack of faith… It is the price of Love.”
Rest in peace, Eric. To a wonderful husband, father and friend. We will always cherish all of the wonderful memories. Traveling, camping and hanging out. You are deeply missed. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers. We love you, Eric. Until we meet again.

I’m so sorry to hear this, and I am thinking of Eric’s family in these hard times. Eric was a great coworker and person. I could always count on Eric to think of the bright side and bring a smile to his coworkers. He will be missed.
My condolences to the family. I liked talking with Eric because he was one of the few people that seemed to have a life outside of work. Eric and I were talking about learning to play the bass. He gave me a computer game that allowed me to hook my bass up to my laptop and learn notes. He got better at playing the bass and went on to play in a band. I am still a work in progress. God bless you and give you strength.
My thoughts and prayers to the family. Eric was a great man, coworker, and friend. We will greatly miss him. Eric worked hard and always strove to do the right thing. He always looked after his team at work and was an example of how to be joyful at work. He was an inspiration to me and I enjoyed talking with him about work, life, and just seeing the best in every situation. I will greatly miss him. I pray for healing and consolation for Eric’s family.
One of my favorite memories, and the last time I saw my brother. A good man and father who left us way too early. Sincerest condolences to Julie, Sarah, Chris, David, Lucinda, Susan, and Jessica.
I didn’t know Eric very well as I was an outside contractor for some of his overseas campaigns. Only ever got to talk with him briefly in his environment – the Low Bay, and at the barbecues of course. He was always a nice guy and took the time for conversation when we met. I will miss seeing him as one of the crew on future jobs. My heartfelt condolences and deepest sympathy to his family and friends. He will be missed.
As with most folks, I was shocked and saddened to hear of Eric’s passing. I never was involved in lengthy conversations with Eric, but we always said hello to each other in passing and a few short conversations here and there when time allowed. I am so sorry for your loss.
I was shocked and heartbroken when I heard Eric had passed. It’s been so long since we directly worked together, but every time we saw each other there were smiles and conversations about our kids. He had a wonderfully friendly personality and a contagious, sunshine smile. I’m so sad it was taken from this world so soon. I am so sorry for your loss.
Like everyone else, I can only say I was shocked to learn of Eric’s passing. He was always smiling, and a genuinely nice person. I am so sorry for your loss, we will all miss him.
I am so sad to hear about Eric’s passing. I was hoping to run into him at various volleyball tournaments this year. He was always willing to volunteer to help and was a bright spot for me an others as we travelled to wonderful destinations like York, PA. The world is now worse off for those that knew him and those that may have met him. Rest in peace my friend. My thoughts are with you and your family.
I am sorry to here this. Eric was my first roommate when I got to Ft Bragg, NC in 1984. He was a great person and leader as an NCO. I learned a lot from him as he was a 31 N, Patch Panel Operator. I am glad David Wilson had posted some pictures below because I would not have known this was Eric by the picture here. I left the Army in 1988 and ost contact with him. My wife and I had much fun with eirc, concerts, parties etc. He will be truly missed. Allen & Thu McDaniel
Eric was a friend of mine from the Army. We served together at Fort Bragg, He was a great guy we had a lot of fun times hanging out, going to concerts, and partying. I am so sorry to hear of his passing. RIP buddy Charles Sutz (Chuck) Lorain, Oh.
Eric was my boyfriend at Ft. Bragg. He was amazing. He took care of me when the Army was a difficult place to be as a woman. I am brokenhearted to hear of his passing. He was so young! Why did this happen?
I met Eric years ago while in town visiting a friend. We instantly hit it off and became great long distance friends. Time passed and we fell out of touch (life, families, etc) but I was just thinking of him and came across his obituary. I’m devastated and so shocked. He was such an amazing and compassionate person. My heart hurts for his wife and Sarah.
