  1. My deepest sympathy to Penny and the kids. I knew Eric at WHGA. Eric was a wonderful friend and co-worker. He brightened everyday and always made me smile. He was so quick wittted! He wasn’t just funny, he was tender and kind. I loved the deep bass of his voice. We talked about Eric’s next career in broadcasting! We talked about how much he reminded me of my brother Eric, who I lost in ’95. (We think they knew each other!!) He sent emails all the time, the halarious and the magnificent. I always looked forward to minutes I was lucky enough to spend with him. Eric , I will see you in heaven. Maybe then you can get me to take a spin on the bike. Love you, Pam

  2. Our love, affection, and friendship continue to reach out to Eric, Penny, Becky, and Jeff. Those feelings will never end. Eric is just in the next room and he will always be with us and our friend forever. Love to all and always, Barbara, Kevin, & Jonathan

  9. Eric and I “joined” the family at nearly the same time. I enjoyed knowing him: a stalwart, seemingly gruff, “country boy”. Yet, clearly his native intelligence showed through, and his views or opinions were not deeply hidden. You knew where Eric stood on most any question. And he would defend his position. Certainly he will be missed, but all who took the trouble to know him, gained from the experience. Rest easy, and enjoy! Happy to have been your “StepFather-in-law”. Byron

  10. Dear Penny and family of Eric, I share in your sorrow at this time of your bereavement. You are much in my thoughts and prayers at this time. Donna’s and Paul’s friend. Isaiah 43 Fear not :for I have redeemed thee, I have called [thee] by thy name; thou [art] mine. When thou passest through the waters, I [will be] with thee; and through the rivers, they shall not overflow thee: when thou walkest through the fire, thou shalt not be burned; neither shall the flame kindle upon thee.
