Of Crystal River, FL., formerly of Vienna, VA., died on Sunday, April 30, 2017 in Crystal River Health & Rehab Center. Loving wife of Charles A. McWilliams; devoted mother of Angela (wife Connie) and Charles B. (fianc, Mike), daughter of the late Henry and Helen Dunn; cherished sister of Roma, Phyllis, Phillip, Charles and the late Lloyd, Lane and Bertha. She is also survived by one loving grandchild, Cole.

My deepest condolences to the family of this angel.She was a very lovely women who would give her shirt off her back . She will be missed dearly.
We are going to miss Fern so much. It’s sad to say goodbye, but comforting to know her struggle has ended. Prayers for the McWilliams and Dunn families.
Charlie: She was so special to all and her smile could fill a room. My sympathy, thoughts, and prayers to you and your family during this sad time.

I cannot ever remember a time while being in Fern’s company that she didn’t make me laugh and smile. On the cloudiest of days, she brought sunshine. You will be missed by many, but remembered by all. What an Angel you will be. Heaven is blessed. Keeping you and your family in my prayers.

Never have I known someone who was as caring and non judgmental as Fern. She was truly dedicated to the girls she mentored. She has left an imprint on the hearts of many.
Fern spoke softly, but firmly. She called me one Saturday morning & said she was going to pick me up at 9 A.M. She said I needed to update regarding the kind of bus I was driving. I told her I did NOT want a rear engine bus….guess what I drove until I retired !

I always will remember Fern’s big smile, great sense of humor, and love of the children who rode her bus. Olde Creek Elementary’s staff and students are blessed to have known Fern. My thoughts and prayers are with her family,especially “little” Charlie who was a student at OCES.
23 yrs ago I joined the family of bus drivers and so many of you became life long friends even after I stopped driving. My heart is both sad for my loss and happy for heaven’s at the news of your passing. Your presence on earth will be deeply missed yet I know one day we will see each other again.
