Florence P. Andrews

Florence P. Andrews, aged ninety-two, died Saturday September 17th, 2022, after a short illness, at Sunrise Hunter Mill in Oakton, VA. Florence was born in Brooklyn, NY to the late Walter and Charlotte (Lawrence) Purdue. She is predeceased by her former husband Keith Andrews, and is survived by her five children, Eileen Courtright, Daniel (wife Christine), David, Cheryl, and Donald (wife Susan), and her granddaughter Diana (husband Marcos and son Christian).
Florence had a passion for gardening and floral design, working in Och's Green House and Lollypop Farm, Long Island, NY, and Fredon Farms in New Jersey. She attended County College of Morris after raising her five children. She had a long career in leading activities for residents both in Andover, NJ and Quakertown Manor in Quakertown, PA where she retired as Activities Director in 1995. Always upbeat, she could be seen singing around the residents and encouraging them.
A Lifelong Learner, she joined the Shepherd’s Center of Northern Virginia in 2005, and moved to Fairfax, VA in 2007. In 2010, she moved to Vienna, VA to live with her daughter Cheryl. Her favorite activity was volunteering with the Shepherd’s Center of Northern Virginia acting as a coordinator in their numerous classes and being engaged in many activities.
A memorial service in her honor will be held at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, VA on Tuesday 10/11/2022 at 11:00 am. Online condolences may be made at MoneyandKing.com
A private burial will be held at Yellow Frame Cemetery in Fredon, NJ

Florence was one of my first customers when I started my computer business 12 years ago. I helped Cheryl and her with all their technology needs. Florence was one of the nicest, most pleasant person to deal with. RIP Florence, you will be missed!!
