Susan & Wesley, I am very saddened to hear about Fred. Your father was a great boss, a mentor, and a friend. I would never have achieved the success in this business without his tutaledge, and guidence. I have always cherished the years that I had with with your mom and your dad. Please accept our sincerest sympathy. God Bless
As a resident of the city of Fairfax from 1985 until 1998, i would pass by Fred’s door in downtown frequently. His name is familiar to me from our careers in Land Surveying. I believe i only had one small opportunity to meet him many years back, but recall it being a warm and comfortable conversation. like a father or grandfather to a child he shared some of his surveying knowledge with me early in my career. Northern Virginia has lost a legend and a man among men. peace and comfort to the Wilburn family and Fred’s extended network.
Our deepest sympathy to the wilburn family. A good man, and great neighbor.
Mr. Wilburn sure knew how to make people smile and that is rare these days. He was a fine gentleman, smart bussiness man, and wonderful citizen. If there was ever a person you wish could be here forever he would be the one. Just knowing that he is with his beloved wife again takes some of the hurt of his loss away. Our hearts are open to all left behind and we are just a phone call away for any and all help we could give at this time. God Bless the Wilburn family.
Sue and Wes, so sorry to hear about your dad – many great memories growing up on the circle. He always took the time to talk with me when he saw me.I”ll always remember the cherry bombs that he would scare the hell out of me with on the 4th of July. He will be missed. Our thought and prayers are with you and your family.
Uncle Fred rest in peace, until we meet again. Love, Ken and Mary
